So I finally decided I needed to go to the eye doc because my current glasses look like shit. Looking through my insurance companys website, I managed to find one close to my job. I made the appointment for yesterday and went, taking like a half day at work (love that the company is flexible like that).

Anyway…it was going well until I had to had to have my eyes examined by the doc. Now, I have been to many many eye doctors and this has never ever happened before. Granted the guy was pretty old (like 70?) but ya…not sure if it’s acceptable or not. Anyway…I go in to see him and he looks at my eyes and sees I am tense (which I admit, I am a lot). So he tries to get me to relax by putting his hands on my shoulders going down to my arms. I dunno why but that felt really really uncomfortable leaves me wondering if I overreacted.

Needless to say, I am never going back there (even though as a doctor he seemed to know his stuff). Also, I am worried that he wrote my new prescription wrong so I need to take it to an optometrist and have them compare my current glasses to the new prescription because it has to be identical.

So myself and my co-worker decided to go on vacation together. We booked it this past weekend…1 week in the beautiful Dominican Republic!

The hotel we choose is ranked top 5 in the Caribbean so I am very very excited to see it. I can’t wait to do the horse riding (it’s actually free). The hotel we  choose is called Paradises Palma Real and looks gorgeous! From it’s white sandy beaches to its luxurious Spa…I can’t wait to try it all!

We are leaving April 13th and coming back on the 20th which is an odd time to leave but we didn’t have too many choices due to price. No one fly’s on a Tuesday except us so we managed to get a great deal per person (only $1,270). Something tells me I will be coming back to that hotel later this year for my parents 30th wedding anniversary.
